Revit 2026 missing sharedparameters.txt when linking ifc

Hi,

I have a Problem especially with Revit 2026.
(All updates & Hotfixes of Revit or Windows are installed)

When you link an ifc-file Revit should create three files in the directory of the ifc.
ifc.RVT
ifc.log.html
ifc.sharedparameters.txt
can be read in the autodesk-ifc-manual: Link IFC | Autodesk IFC Manual
or here in a great article from Lejla SecerbegovicIFC-Vorlage in Revit für intelligente Informationsverwaltung – BIM me UP!

It functions well with revit 2024&2025.
With Revit 2026 the ifc.sharedparameters.txt is created while linking, but gets deleted automatically by end of the process. video attached.

anyone else has the same issue with rvt26?

I contacted the autodesk support.

here are two workarounds for the problem: <filename>.ifc.sharedparameters.txt file deleted after linking IFC in Revit

I hope future versions will create a .txt, because autodesk currently says "No issue has been identified...".
But I don´t know how i should handle the graphics of an ifc element or schedule them without the .txt file.

I've had the same issue. The txt file was generated and disappears once the linking is completed, just like in your video.

The workaround recommended by Autodesk support works but my workaround was to restore the file from the recycle bin. I was working on Sharepoint so the txt file is usually uploaded. Once the linking is completed, it would disappear as usual but can be found in the Sharepoint recycle bin. Restore it from there and it functions as usual.
