Revit 2026 freezing after adding steel connections, re-installing didnt help

Hey! So the past couple days I've been having troubles running Revit 2026, I'm using Revit for steel project in school and after trying to add and edit steel connections, it always just freezes and I pretty much have to shut it down. Furthermore, it doesnt even show me the available steel connections in the roll down menu, only General connection... I tried loading the steel connections the usual way through the down-right arrow and they are all there so I'm not really sure what coiuld be the issue, the program used to run pretty good till I started trying to add the steel connections. Additional info: not sure if the reason might be that I booted my own computer back in September so there is a possibility that I screwed up somehow? There shouldnt be a performance problem with the computer as its pretty much brand new and perfectly suitable for revit...

@bilibilihd You might want to check whether the Steel Connections add-in is fully enabled and updated, and also verify that your structural template, analysis display, and regional settings are correctly set, as missing libraries can cause freezing and limit the dropdown to only “General connection.” It’s also worth resetting Revit user settings or testing the same model on another machine to rule out a local install or system-path issue from when you booted your PC.
