Revit 2025 - Casework Cabinet Family JOIN

I have two Casework families built identically (same parameters, geometry, materials, nested families, category, etc.). The nested families are generic models and the "host" is casework.

  • Family A (works):
    • In the project, I can place two instances side by side and use Join Geometry – both instances highlight fully when hovering, and join works perfectly.

  • Family B (does NOT work):
    • In the project, when I hover the family object it stays blank and doesn't allow to join anything with it.
    • But: Join Geometry works inside the Family Editor, and the join holds after loading into the project.

The families are both casework category, and have nested generic models within it. The only diffrence there is between the two families is that one of the cabinets have also have a door nested within it.

Anyone have a clue what's going on?? Have been struggeling with this for hours...
      See screenshots.
Any tips or help is much appreciated!!

Make sure all geometries are set to visible for ALL detail levels (coarse, medium, and fine).  Revised family attached.
