Revit 2024 screen contrast change is not good

The built in UI and Canvas settings (2023 vs 2024) got much lighter, more washed out. I'm seeing folks complain on forums that it affects the accessibility aspect of Revit.

Even in Dark mode the UI is washed out and almost difficult to read.

Wonder if there are any plans on bumping up the contrast on 2024 or, making it an option.

in 2024 you can swith to Dark mode , if you want and I dont see any problem.

Thanks, yes I know, but I prefer white for Revit, black for autocad. Decided not to upgrade for now. Running on 2023 version.
Why they have to change things that are not broken and not improve on schedules, and stairs and so on I don't know.

A new update 2024.3 just got released today that promises to solve this very issue.

I agree that the contrast between sliders, icons and other features is now more difficult to see.

I am an Architect of a 'certain age' and the contrast is definitely worse than in 2023.

I will search the thread below for an answer.

You can change the background color independent of the theme. So, yes, you can use the dark theme with a white background.

Yes, 2024.3 does seem to have helped with the contrast a bit.
I wonder if it will take a year and a half to apply that to 2025 as well 🙂

Yes, I’ve been wondering when they will fix 2025.

Personally, I was happy with how Revit UI was working for all these years. And for some reason they think our subscription should pay for something that personally I don’t think needed fixing, and yet there are other items, that have never been improved for years that I would prefer to see updated. I hope Autodesk is listening, but perhaps not. They have their own bucket list.
