Revit 2024.3.0 Update & UNIFI Pro 3.10.2.0

We have recently started to upgrade our Revit 20204 installations to the 2024.3.0 update (hoping that it does resolve the schema conflict issues).  We have found an issue where on opening a workshared model (server- or cloud-based), the user becomes a borrower of most all of the Family Worksets in a model.  This has caused issues when subsequent users open the same model.  This does not happen in other versions of Revit that we have installed.

We have narrowed it down to the UNIFI Pro 3.10.2.0 add-in.  If we disable this add-in, the borrowing does not occur.  Disabling the add-in also removes much of the usefulness of UNIFI, however.  Synchronizing the model clears the borrowing, but if I ask our users to synchronize immediately after opening a model, I will have an angry mob with torches and pitchforks at my workstation.

Has anyone else run into this problem?  Have you found any solution better than immediately synchronizing or reverting back to 2024.2.2?

I have submitted a support case to Autodesk, but thought I would ask the community if anyone else has had this issue.

After opening a model, I am a borrower of all Family Worksets except for Curtain Wall Mullions and two Curtain Panel families. After opening a model, I am a borrower of all Family Worksets except for Curtain Wall Mullions and two Curtain Panel families.

I neither have any experience with this particular add-on nor how to mitigate it but I do want to say thank you for sharing the issue and the workaround.

Hello David,

We have recently encountered this issue and we are on the same boat as we have Unifi app installed in our environment. Autodesk has published this KB which describes the issue (not directly) but we now know this has to do with Unifi installed.

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/After-upgrading-th...

We tried the above workaround but what works for us is to disable the unifi app (use Statec revit add-in manager) without uninstalling the app altogether. Unifi desktop app still works on other Revit versions so they can continue to use it on other Revit version connected to the model.

As of the moment, no ETA on coming out with a fix. It is not worth to roll back to 2024.2.2 for us because this requires the complete uninstall of Revit 2024 and re-install.

We had same problem. I moved Unifi's manifest file to somewhere else (deactivate it) and problem was solved. It's stupid that an event handler (doc.Synced or Syncing) from Unifi add-in causes that problem.

Today Unifi has released an updated version 3.10.4 which includes a fix for this particular issue with Revit 2024.3
I hope this addresses the issue for all of us.
