Hello!
We’ve a trouble in Revit 2023 with the IFC export. So, there is a new feature in Revit 2023, where you can specify IFC entities for families. Every time when we use the default instance setup (By Type) for the „Export to IFC” parameter and type setup (Default) for the „Export Type to IFC” parameter, the Floors, Sites, and Stair was not exported to the IFC file.
We’ve tried IFC 2x3 and IFC 4 export with the same result.
According the Autodesk website (https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-7119A8C3-A0EE-4568-8C35-750410D867C9)
„Use the dropdown on the Export to IFC parameter to define how the family will be exported to IFC:
By Type - Type settings for the family will be used for IFC export. Instance values for Export to IFC As and IFC Predefined Type will be ignored.”
AND
„Use the dropdown on the Export Type to IFC parameter to define how the family type will be exported to IFC:
Default - Use category mapping settings for IFC export.”
We’ve also checked the IFC export settings, but we didn’t find any clue of the problem.
The only solution of this issue that we found to switch the “Export to IFC” parameter to “Yes”.
Anybody recognized this problem? What should it be the solution, because we don’t want to switch every floors, stairs, etc. parameters to Yes in de models.
