So we created a Formit model and would like to import that in Revit 2023. Insert > Import CAD, select File type for Formit (*.axm).... uhhh... not there???

How do we fix this?

Not sure what's going on with yours but I have *.axm for import and link in Revit 2023

Maybe reinstall, or check for a hotfix in the desktop app. my Revit version is 23.0.10.18

Hi Alan,

My Revit 2023 version is 23.0.20.21. There's no repair-option as in pre-2021 versions. So I ran the original installer again. It seemed to have done something if I check the install log: Installing: FormIt Converter For Revit 2023

But when I run Revit 2023, it still lacks the Formit-import:

If I check the Program Folder for Autodesk, it has a folder FormIt Converter for Revit 2022 but not for 2023. When I check the install image, RVT_2023_en-US\x64\FormIt, there's FormIt360Converter.msi but when I try to run it, it nags about a missing transform. The version for Revit 2022 run's without nagging for a transform.

Well, it took a couple of hours but it's working.

As mentioned in the previous message, when I try to install FormIt360Converter.msi from the original image, it nags about a transform it can't find. So I removed Revit 2023, created a new deployment for Revit 2023 and installed it. The installation took a loooong time, so I checked the install log. Noticed it had already installed everything but FormIt360Converter.msi failed. Apparently, this kept the installer running indefinitely.

With a new image, I had a new FormIt360Converter.msi which is slightly newer. And when I try to install that one, it nags about an older version it cannot remove. Searched the registry for FormIt360Converter.msi and it turned up under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\FF5EDC4656A73384995073E49A646CF8]. Renamed that key to .old and tried another install. Which it did without nagging. Ran Revit and ... problem solved.

Well, it don't play nice. After installing the latest Revit update, the Formit Converter has again vanished. If I unpack the update file, I notice it has the latest version FormIt360Converter.msi as well. This one installs without problems, so things work fine - again.
