Hello,
Since installing Revit 2023.1 we have has no end of problems.
On some of our machines Revit just crashed while opening.
Faulting application name: Revit.exe, version: 23.0.1.318, time stamp: 0x62227a09
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.19041.2193, time stamp: 0x7f7062e1
or
Faulting application name: Revit.exe, version: 23.1.10.4, time stamp: 0x637d3e14
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.19041.1466, time stamp: 0xe2f8ca76
On others the PDF would not show the background or Revit would crash during the print or the print would fail.
So we made the desision to roll-back the update. Since there was no option to uninstall the update we had to uninstall Revit 2023. However when we tried to re-install Revit we experianced every problem imaginable,
On some machines it would get to 60-70% and then just start going backwards without any message. On others
Error 1303. The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory. Even though the user does have local admin.
Yes there is plenty of space on C Drive. All the install options are default.
Error 1320 the specified path is too long. I:\REVIT_FOLDER.
Kind Regards
David
By the way, Autodesk has just released Revit 2023.1.1 to fix the installation error in Revit 2023.1 released just a week earlier.
Unfortunatly after following all the steps I still get the could not access message.
Annoyingly it looks like it is trying to install to the location Y:\REVIT_FOLDER\AddIns\ResultsManagerExplorer.
Enen though I did not change the default install location C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2023.
All my prgrams are default installs C:\Program Files\
Windows is installed on C Drive C:\Windows

You ought to uninstall this add-in first.
Thank you, however I could not find anything related to ResultsManagerExplorer in the add-remove programs. There is a folder in Revit 2021, but I'm not sure I should remove that.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021\AddIns\ResultsManagerExplorer
I think it is Robot structure add-in for Revit. You can always reinstall it later.
Thanks, but sorry, I can't see any Robot or structure add-in to uninstall either.
MSI (s) (20:A8) [12:55:30:411]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding TARGETDIR property. Its value is 'Y:\'.
This is from the log file: Results Explorer Manager_2023_install.log
Why is it trying to change to install to my Y Drive.

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021\AddIns\ResultsManagerExplorer
Delete the folder, ResultsManagerExplorer.
I deleted the folder, still no luck.
First you get Could not access network location Revit 2023\.
Finally in the notifications it says complete and ready to use. However the installation dialog says its incomplete.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders
I ran an old 2023 installer. Installation Success.....
Still have issues with 2023.1.1 crashing when printing.
