Hi

When I insert a simple obj from Blender into Revit it comes in as one object.  Is there a way to split objects on import?

Thanks

@benveasey

I do not have blender anymore. it should be possible to split but its been months since I have played with Blender. Maybe you can check on Blender's user forums what is best for a split obj export... You can try the following for a start:

  • Include UVs (Check),
  • Write Materials (Check),
  • Objects as OBJ Objects (Uncheck),
  • Objects as OBJ Groups (Check)
  • Forward should be Z I think and Up Y... or vise versa (try both)

Otherwise try go either

  1. Blender >> FBX >> Rhino >> DWG >> Revit
  2. Blender >> STL >> Formit >> Send to Revit

Alternatively try Blender IFC exporter
