Hi @aheebwadaniel
Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums! Can you try the below steps?
- Make sure the system meets the System requirements for Autodesk Revit products.
- Install the latest updates using the Autodesk Access.
- Try disabling Revit add-ons. (see How to disable add-ons for Revit).
- Check that Antivirus is not blocking (see that Trend Micro Antivirus is blocking Revit). Test by temporarily disabling Windows Firewall
- Reset Revit Settings: How to reset Revit to the installation defaults
- Update the graphics card driver from the manufacturer's website.
Autodesk Licensing Service
Go through the following steps to check the Autodesk Licensing Service settings:
- Open Services
- Open Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service
- Select Log On
- Select Log on as:
- Select Local System account
- Select Allow service to interact with desktop
- Select Apply
- Select OK
- Restart the service
- Attempt to reopen program
Reset TSF Data
Go through the following steps to reset the tsf data file:
- Delete the following file or rename it (by adding a .bak extension at the end of the file name):
- Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_*_tsf.data
-
Restart Revit. The program should automatically re-register through Register Today and start up as expected. A new adskflex_*_tsf.data file will be created when the product is re-registered.
Reinstall .NET
See the following article for instructsion on How to remove and reinstall the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Note: It is possible to uninstall .NET using the Control Panel and install the same version from Microsoft. Or from the \3rdParty\NET\4\wcu\dotNetFramework folder in the install media or deployment or if installing from a download under c:\autodesk folder.Windows User Account
Create a new local user account on the computer with administrative permissions. Once created, log into the computer with the newly created test account and see if Revit launches properly.
Reinstall Revit
If Revit also crashes under the test user account after doing all of the above steps, a complete uninstall and reinstall is needed (see How to Complete a Clean Install and Uninstall of Revit products).
We look forward to hearing back from you with more information so we can help you as a community!
