I have been noticing an issue with linked models in Revit 2021 in regards to dimensioning. When trying to dimension to the core centerline of a wall through a linked model, that dimension snap point simply does not exist. The only option is to select the whole wall assembly centerline, which, depending on the wall assembly, does not always correspond to the core centerline. I have tried to override numerous settings, tabbing through to a core centerline, and just about anything else I can think of but have yet to find a solution.
We prefer to do our dimensioning in a "central file" after linking every building into this main file. It is still currently possible to dimension to the core centerline in each main building file. The main issue revolves around the linked model.
It would be great to get some information on a solution and/or passing this on to be looked into as a bug with the current Revit 2021 version.
Thanks,
ML
Have you try to set all your revit links to custom and try again dimensioning and see if helps. Thanks
