Hello everyone!
I was hoping someone can help me with this! So, I'm doing my thesis on High Rise Residential buildings and their energy consumption especially heating and cooling loads. Revit being such a complex and amazing software, I would think that it would be able to simulate this for me, as I keep coming across videos and post of old versions of Revit producing the reports that show charts of how much energy is loss and gained from different elements in the buildings, including occupants, solar gain etc. The following video is an exactly what I need to get my research done!
(247) Interpreting Revit Energy Analysis Results - YouTube
HOWEVER! I'm using Revit 2021, and for the life me, I cannot find how to generate this report. I have done heating and cooling loads, however, they only project with peak heating and cooling loads, which is helpful, however, I need the accumulative loads. I have also tried Energy Optimization loads, however, it provides no helpful information, only suggestions, so I want wondering if anyone knows how I can generate / simulate reports like the one in video, please do comment! It would be very thankful.
Thanks!!!

Go to File=>Options=>User Interface and check the box for "Energy Analysis and Tools" under Tools and Analyses - then look on your Analyze tab.
Thanks for your reply!
So I already have these turned on! and i do see Energy Analysis Tab, however, it only have Lighting and Solar Analysis. These were not available at first, i downloaded them myself as plugins. Would I have download energy simulation as well? if so, where can i find it for Revit 2021?
Well, you need to Run an Energy Analysis and once it's done, Autodesk will email you a confirmation that it's ready. Then you can open it via Autodesk Insight.
Sorry, Can I ask, do you know why I send the model to the insight cloud, it also send me the email confirmation model received, but no results send back, always analysis in process. Maybe there is something wrong with cloud?
