Has anyone ever dealt with this? I'm a CAD/3D modeling tutor and I have had to help students fix all kinds of weird things in Revit but I've never encountered this before. I'm assuming it's a setting but I can't find it. Please take a look at the image attached. I've hidden one of the walls for clarity.

Can you upload the sample file?
Trying again. The attachment doesn't show up on my end.
It's coming from a nested family in the Window Family.
Did you look at your Window-Casement-Single_Left.rfa Family?
Delete this and reload Family into Project.
I check the family. Apparently your muntin is replaced with trim family. If I switch it to 2x2 Mutin, it display properly.
That worked but the question is why did it happen? It did it with all the types that the student placed. It did not do it when I placed a different type of window from the Library. She said she didn't mess with them (other than duplicating and changing the sizes). I've been seeing a lot of strange things going on in 2020.
Thanks for the help!
I hadn't looked at the casement yet, only the sliders and I was expecting to see something like that in the Family editor. I'm pretty sure all of the windows were from Revit itself so it's a mystery. Although, I swear students close their eyes and just start hitting buttons!
Worked that way too. I just added another slider from the Library and it was doing the same thing. Very strange indeed.
Yea...the mutin family is using swappable family type. This basically replacing swap family with another. If the mutin family shared the same category as trim, user can accidentally replace the mutin with trim family. This is why you get weird trim display at the floor. It won't show in course but will show up in medium to fine detail. So if students want to turn off the mutin, make sure they use this type parameter.
I don't want Muntin patterns in my windows but when I change that it was having the ghosting issue. Deselecting Muntin Visibility under graphics under the edit type settings, took care of this issue for me.
