Is Revit 2020.2.4 supported on Windows 7 Pro SP1? Revit 2020 does not open once I've installed hotfix 2020.2.4. The splashscreen does not appear but I can see in event viewer that revit crashes and refers to Utility.dll. Just as a test I setup another computer, installed Windows 7 Pro SP1, installed all windows updates, installed Revit 2020 & Hotfix 2020.2.4, and the problem still occurs. Does this mean Revit 2020 is no longer supported on Windows 7?

Yes I noticed in the release notes it says windows 7 is compatible. However I tested this update on a clean build PC with Windows 7x64 Pro, all windows updates installed, and I upgraded Revit from version 2020.2.3 to 2020.2.4. Revit would not open after upgrading to the latest update 2020.2.4. I don't even see the revit loading splash page and the only reference I can find to revit in the event viewer logs is the .dll file that is crashing. I can replicate this on multiple computers. I went ahead and upgraded to Windows 10 x64 Pro and Revit 2020 opens fine now with 2020.2.4 installed. But if anyone is trying to use Revit 2020.2.4 on Win7x64 Pro you may run into the same problem.
Hi davidgCEL,
I've encountered the same issue: my rvt2020.2.4 crashed on my W7-64 box. Understand you do not have the same issue with W10. May I know what W10 build you have tested successfully?
Cheers
