Revit 2019 Window Tabs

Hello,

Allow me to lead with my love for the ability to drag a view to a secondary monitor. Though the motivation for reaching out is my frustration with the removal of some basic window tab features.

As a user who needs to go back and forth from one main screen, to tiling multiple, and liking to keep a view or two minimized for future day use, I really miss the ability to minimize and maximize window tabs within the program. Is there a fix in progress?

I too love the ability to tile views and have the tabs, especially the ability to have tab views within the tiled views.

In response to your question, this is possible if you drag one of the tabs from the docked state, this will give you the typical windows minimize and maximize functions.  Here is a screencast that shows the function, look at about minute 2:00.

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your reply Jamie.

Having the ability to control the 1 individual window outside of the program view is appreciated, though the remaining windows (as I highlighted in my example of previous versions of Revit) are important to have control over.

My workflow has been dragging in regards to having to spend time closing and re-opening windows throughout the day, due to this change. Working on projects with 100+ sheets and a healthy amount of coordination of the information moved along much more smoothly when I had more freedom to organize my windows as needed and by priority.

After you window tile, if you drag a window away from its docked position, the buttons to minimize, maximize and close will re-appear.

Thank you for that. Highlighted in the Pre 2019 snippet that I shared, my issue is that I cannot minimize, maximize and pull any and all windows at will within the program freely anymore.
