hello I have a powerful computer and revit goes slower than a turtle, as soon as I put iron to the house similes and pillars becomes slow. and this message comes out (generating graphics for floor plans) and sticks 3 or 4 minutes like this .. to see if those of autodesk put the batteries and fix that already, and make it compatible with nvidia 1070 gtx or 1080
My turtle of a computer runs Revit 2019 pretty good.
What are your view settings?
I have built projects to the point that they bog down the system. I also have created families that behaved like boat anchors in the project. There is a computing threshold, even for a NASA Main Frame -- hence the need for a cascade.
Hi @djhilario88
Can you share the error message you receive?
Is this specific to a model/ user?

It isn't your video card....I have a GTX 1080 on my system with only 8gb of ram and it works fine.
How are you obtaining your license? I have seen this issue if you borrow a license or working over a VPN.
graphics cards 1080 or 1070 gtx does not work with revit you have to buy a quadro graphic
Do you understand, friend?

As made clear earlier in the thread, those cards and lesser ones do work with Revit. It depends on what you are trying to do graphically with Revit that may dictate getting a better card.

Uh, no, I don't understand. All the computers in my office are running 1070's and up with no issues. All Windows 10 machines running Revit 2017 thru 2019 just fine.
Been using GTX cards for over 10 years with Revit without any issues....saving money vs having Quadro cards installed.
So your logic that it is the "video card" is flawed.

Negative.
I use a lowly GTX 1060 and it works fine on Terrabyte projects. I often have two-three Revit sessions open at the same time, plus all other non-sense such as AutoCAD, a dozen of PDF files in AdobePDF, Outlook, Excel, ten or more Chrome tabs, Screencast recording.
Hi @djhilario88
Can you share your journal and files (from the collector utility we will provide) through a private folder that I can send you to upload?
Let me know and I'll be glad to investigate your case further.
