We have an office of around 30 people, and 15 people may be working in Revit at any one time. Our files are saved on a central server, so we use file sharing NOT cloud sharing.
Revit 2019 has slowed down to a crawl across the office. People report that each minor edit of a model can be followed by a pause of 30 seconds or more, and that saving changes back to the central file can take 5 minutes. It seems to be the same across multiple projects, and it effects large projects and smaller projects equally. It affects everyone in the office - all 25 workstations. The slowdown didn't happen when we switched to 2019 - we worked with that software for a few months with no problem. We have tried to change the Revit settings to decrease the number of times Revit local file queries the central model, but that doesn't seem to help.
I was in a class and we had this same issue working on a central file between 8 people. The files got large (350mb) because we had to make the Revit models at such a high detail level so we could put people into the VR. Anyways, it turned out to be a bandwidth issue via the server, and the internet connection. We had our IT department increase bandwidth on the server, and did ethernet connections instead of wifi and the issue was solved. Hope this helps!
