Hello,
I'm working on a project within my office that is shared with 3 other people. All of us are having issues with Revit 2019 stopping and loading for 10 seconds at a time frequently.
We have tried auditing, purging, repairing Revit, unlinking consultant models. When running a decentralized file on only one computer the issue does not happen. The file is not abnormally large, nor does it have any unusual families or elements in it.
Any troubleshooting advice?
Thanks
What is your network speed?
~35 Mbps. Other shared projects in the office are not having this issue, though our internet has been a bit inconsistent lately.
How are you sharing the project?
It is a central model on our local server with a collaborative workset. I suspect that re-centralizing and re-making the workset might help, but I can't test that until tonight when everyone is off. If that's your thought too, I will reply later, once I have had a chance to try this.
Not my thought at all but it might work.
I was going to suggest that you examine the project carefully and list any differences in the way the project is set up from your other projects or possibly a lot of imported objects/categories.
Audit and compact is also another good idea, especially if this project has not been maintained.
I did all the above, which helped some, but it turned out to mostly be an imported family with an excess of complicated elements. We removed the objects and the issue cleared up.
Thank you for your help.
