Revit 2019 Screen window display glitching and going black.

When I try to open up a file, I am unable to work on it because it keeps glitching and parts of the screen freeze. I am using virtual box for mac but still have lots of storage left on that side. I can try to start a new project and it works fine, but when I try to open up a previous file I get all of the glitches. I can go between pages/views but still get the screen glitches. I have tried turning on and off my graphics accelerator, but that didn't help. Any advice/ help would greatly greatly be appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Architecture forum! I see that you are a new visitor.

As the first steps, please make sure that you have the latest updates installed for your Revit version.

  • Install the latest updates for Revit 2019
  • To make sure that the issue you are seeing is not something already fixed in one of the product updates, I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App
  • Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page:
    Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements
  • Make sure you have the latest driver update for your graphics card
  • Disconnect external monitor and see if this occurs on the main monitor.
  • Adjust the scaling in your display settings.

Let me know if this helps resolve your issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Regards,

I figured it out! I wasn't running enough CPUs through virtual box.
