Hello everyone, I have a weird issue, can't seem to find anything on google or youtube.

I have to make and extension of the roof on a small portion that goes over the balcony. I attached some snaps.

They wont join and I really want to black line to disappear from the plan.

I will also have to atach some wooden support beams on the balcony to support the weight of that extensions.

Do you mean something like in the attached image?

If so, I created two separate roofs and in section made sure that they lined up.  I then used the join tool to join them.  Note that if the roofs have different slopes that you will always have a line showing the change in slope.

Here is another method using one footprint.  The balcony roof line has an offset to lower it to the relevant height.  You will need to figure out the height difference first.

I think I did the same, and no matter what offset I give to that line it won't let me do it.

I used an easy one - 45°, which means the offset is the same as the extension.  I tried with 30°, but I couldn't get it to complete - it may be the amount of decimal places with Tan of 30°.  I would then use the first method that I suggested, which was done with 30°.

I changed all the slopes to 45 and still not working, I tried rendering the image with Twinmotion and line is not showing so I won't bother anymore.

But if someone can figure it out I wont mind trying it out.

Thanks

What you have looks good to me. But you say you can't join them? Hmm? Curious. They should. Post the file. We'll figure it out.

Try aligning the roofs in 3D. Click Align, Pick Top Surface of Main Roof and then Top Surface of Shed Roof.

Hey everyone, sorry for late answer, I've been a bit busy, only thing I managed to to is just create 2 separate pieces of roof and then align them in the elevation or 3D. I know the line will show, but the line is only visible in the project if you render disappears so It's kinda fixed for me. There is another way to change the color of that line that show to the roof color.
