Revit 2019 crashes when opening a second model

Hi,

We're using Revit 2019. When we open a model it works. The moment we open a second model, Revit crashes and says: "an unrecoverable error has occurred the program will now be terminated".

Also, when we start a new model from a template and after that create a second model, Revit crashes.

It only happens with one team using 3 computers, but it's happening on all 3.

We have other teams who don't have that problem.

The only difference is that they're using BIM360, but Revit also crashes when opening files straight from the network.

We have installed update 2.1, updated the graphics card driver and cleaned temp folders. Also last week we reinstalled the computer and Revit, but it started happening again.

Has someone experienced this also? Is there a solution?

Cheers,

Danny

It happens with different models.

Also when we:

- start Revit

- start a new project without working in it

- then start a new project again while the first one is still open

- Revit crashes

My team works on a different project and we all can have multiple models open at the same time.

When the other team opens multiple of our models, Revit crashes on their computers.

Yes, we work on a server.

All users have the same version/updates.

Thank you for your response.

I realize this was almost a year ago but did you find a solution?  I have a single user experiencing the exact same thing.

Have you tried turning the hardware acceleration off?

File>Options>Hardware:

uncheck "Use hardware acceleration"
