Revit 2019.2 Cloudmodels, Can no longer export to IFC

Hi,

In Revit 2019.2 it seems we can not export cloudmodels to IFC.

Using the latest exporter (to my knoledge) 19.1

No warning, no IFC file is created.

When looking in the Revit Journal file:

' 1:< Exception caught from managed method mscorlib::Void EmulateFileIOPermissionChecks(System.String) <System.NotSupportedException> <The given path's format is not supported.>
' 1:< API_ERROR { An external service execution throws an exception! Exception handled.: Name(IFC exporter); VendorId(IFCX); ServerId(bbe27f6b-e887-4f68-9152-1e664dad29c3); ServiceId(d8b95737-f943-414c-9ad7-86785bf1acbc) }

Please advise,

Best Regards,

Nic Maes

Hi Nic,

We can consolidate on the thread here https://sourceforge.net/p/ifcexporter/discussion/general/thread/cd07ff5002/?limit=25, so as not to have two parallel discussions.

Regards,

Angel

Hi,

I got confirmation from Adesk Customer support that this is a defect in 2019.2

I logged a defect case (REVIT-143377) that is now attached to your case. The fix requires the code for Revit to be modified, and as such, we do not have a timeline for when any fix may be released.
The workaround which you know is to save the Revit file locally.
I am sorry for the inconveniences, as I am sure that is not what you wanted to hear.
I will close this case for now but once I have any updated from the development team on that I'll reopen this case and I'll keep you posted.

Not so good...

Best Regards

Nic
