I have been trying for 2 days to get Revit 2018 to download on my personal laptop. I have/had Revit 2016 on my computer. I tried to uninstall that, but it won't fully uninstall 2016. I've tried to use the Virtual agent as well as the regular download button. Nothing works.
Anyway, it keeps giving me to error message: "Installation error 1618 - installation in progress." I've re-booted and I don't see that it is installing. Why are Autodesk product nearly impossible to download?

Sorry to hear that you are facing issues.
Can you try the following:
In your Autodesk Account settings, set your preferred download method.
Use “Browser Download” as your preferred default to minimize download/install problems.

Try again. Their server was really slow in the last few days but it seems to be better now.
