Hi everybody.
I am trying to import a model from Revit to DiaLux. I searched some ways to do that in internet and i found that i should use IFC File. However, it takes really really really long time ( like 4-5 hours ) . After these unsuccessful tryings, i closed Curtain wall's visibility and then Exported IFC file again. With that way , when i import IFC File without curtain wall , it just takes 2-3 minutes and works properly.
here is my question : Is there any spesific way to import revit models to Dialux Environment ?
Hi @SezaiErcan
As the first step, have you installed the latest updates for Revit 2018?
Next, can you confirm if you are using IFC for Autodesk® Revit® 2018?
By default, Revit uses the appropriate IFC mapping file when you export a project to IFC. For building elements that do not have an automatic mapping to IFC export classes, the value displayed in the IFC Class Name column is 'Not Exported'. In the case of a Curtain wall - it is represented as a building element assembly and implemented as a subtype of walls, panels, and geometry.
As an alternative, you can also try Relux, see support solutions
You are welcome to share a file with us to test the import.

Dear @Viveka_CD
Thank you for your answer.
I have tryed or viewed everything you said to solve the problem. I think The IFC plug-in solved some problems because it is faster than before. But it still is so so long , ( 2-3 hours ).
After my post on Autodesk Revit Forum, I got in contact with 'Dialux Team', sent the IFC files and explained what the problem is. In their answer , they told me that they couldn't solve the problem but they will try to improve their Import settings for IFC files. If they find a way to solve this problem , they will release an update.
Before these , If I find a solution , I will definitely inform you.
Unfortunately, we couldn't find a way yet, but i believe we will.
Regards.

Hi @SezaiErcan
Thanks or checking back in. The issue is under investigation.
I can confirm that I recreated the behavior on my side, but it happens only for this particular project of yours.
Thank you again for your patience while we are trying to identify what is causing this behavior.

Not sure if anyone found a solution. I have a work around that allows the object to translate properly with Dialux from Revit. First you need to install Revit to ArchiCAD IFC plugin
https://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/interoperability.html
Once you installed it, change the setting and set the object to High
If you choose low or other setting, the wall may not display correctly. Also note if you have curtainwall embedded into the wall, IFC export will show as solid wall. This is the only issue I encounter so far. Overall it translate to DiaLux and our consultant is happy with the result.
