Revit 2018 - Renaming .rfa family file names without dimensions or tags dropping off

The project I am working on has 5 active models and they are all linked to a Mastermodel, where the drawing sheets are produced.

I was asked to change the names of the .rfa files in my Active models. For example, I select a door, clicked "Edit Family", "Save As" a new name, and "load into project and close". When I am back in my Active model, I replaced all the same door type to the newly named door family. Just to  be clear. They are the exact identical door, just a new .rfa file name. When I synchronise and reload it in the Mastermodel, relevant dimensions/tags would drop off.

Also, some of the same family are replicated in a few Active models. For example, Door Type 01 is in Active Model 01 and Active Model 03.

Would anyone know a better way of renaming .rfa files without compromising its dimensions or tags?

Thank you very much!

Rename the door family within the project first, then save as to a new RFA.  No need for the reload override step.
