Revit 2018 Mouse hover/scroll sheet & properties box

I have a user who wants to be able to scroll different screen elements by simply mousing over them rather than clicking within the element and then scrolling.

This functionality seems to work in Windows 10 but not in Windows 7.

Here's an example of what he wants to do:

Have the model up with a docked Project browser box to the side. Hover the mouse in the model, scroll the mouse wheel and the model zooms in and out. He then wants to be able to hover the project browser, without clicking, and scroll that box.

This works in Win10 but not Win 7.

Any help would be great. Thank you.

is it possible that 10 has some abilities that 7 doesn't?

I would say it is possible, and I'm inclined to think it's highly likely, but I cannot find any documentation that supports that conclusion.

I opened a case with Autodesk 3 days ago but I have yet to see a response:

BLRB...  BLRB Spokane?

Try enabling the Aero Theme in Windows 7 as that turns on all screen options/goodies.

Perhaps Microsoft has revamped the UI of Windows 10 versus Windows 7?

BLRB everywhere. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Thanks for the reply.

Aero is enabled already.

Thanks, this has been tried.

Of course the mouseover activation does allow you to switch apps, it does not appear to activate the Project browser (regardless of if it's docked or not).

Can try the XMouse feature for WinAero Tweaker...

But I know quite a few people at BLRB Spokane....they tried to get my resume when I left Stantec.

I experienced the same issue when my firm upgraded to Win10. If you hover the mouse over the view name or sheet names in the Project Browser, the mouse wheel doesn't seem to do anything. Try moving the mouse pointer farther left in the Browser and try again.  Once you cross the zone where the 'plus' symbols are that expand the browser tree it seems to work fine without clicking anything in the Browser.

Autodesk has a support page for it.

I appreciate that reply. I have the opposite problem. It's Windows 7 that we want to be able to scroll a list by mouseover.

We did try widening the project browser box so the entire name of every view was visible but to no effect.
