Good Afternoon,
Following recent WIN 10 update, Revit 2017 has ceased to function on my WIN 10 machine. I receive a bad image error involving MSCVP110.dll. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have already reinstalled Revit 2017, and no change. Please Advise.
Thank you
MSCVP110.dll is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages. Most people have several versions of this package on their computer. SO it is not a specific Revit problem and therefore reinstalling Revit will not resolve the issue. You could try to repair the versions you have already.
You can do this by going to the "programs and features" window, select one the redistributables and select change. Then you should have an option for repair. You can repeat this for the different entries. If this does not work you should try to uninstall/reinstall them. See THIS Autodesk page with some information about this.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Good day @Anonymous,

@L.Maas is correct in saying that it is a Microsoft C++ problem and that simply trying to reinstall Revit would not resolve the issue. I've posted a couple of step-by-step solutions on these forums regarding this issue and how to fix it. (Running on either Windows 8 / 8.1 or 10).
A couple of things which you might need to do before trying to reinstall Revit is to clean your TEMP Folder, Remove and Reinstall .NET and C++ Libraries and Clean Install Revit. Also to install Revit from Autodesk Virtual Agent.
Everything which I mentioned above is outlined in detail in the links below:
I hope this helps! ![]()
