Revit 2017 will not link or import a DWG file.

I am, as usual, trying to meet a deadline but, as usual, computing is letting me down!

I have a dwg file that I need to link or import into my Revit 2017 project but it just is not happening!!

DWG Import 1.PNG

My dialog opens OK

and I can pick the correct file OK

DWG Import 2.PNG

But nothing happens after I have clicked 'Open'

Help please.

I have no problems importing or linking dwg in Revit 2017.

Few things you could look at/try

-Try without "current view only" selected

-Place the CAD file somewhere on your local drive instead of network rename it to something simple (e.g. building.dwg)

Open the file in Autocad.

-Is the drawing visible in model space?

-Model located far away from origin?

-Does the drawing make use of (overlayed) Xrefs

-Try to save into a older autocad version

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

hello, i have also no issue import or link autocad file. you can try to move your cad file to origin 0,0. worse case scenario is to reinstall again the program. thanks.
