Thank you for the replay,

Actually today morning i updated the revit security update, because its the only one available in Autodesk Desktop App. After that i posted this issue. But when viewing your comment i again checked in desktop app i found update for the App not for Revit. After that update i got new update for Revit. Now i am downloading the same. After the installation and check i will come back to you.

Thanks

reset your Revit profile

Navigate to and delete the following directories:
* C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 201x
* C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 201x

Open the registry editor (Start > Type REGEDIT hit enter)
Delete the following registry folder:
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 201x

Once those are deleted, restart Revit again.

Hi,

Yes i Tried that. Now i think the problem only persist in my ongoing project file, because i created a new project and try to edit the materials and saving is working, so again checked it with one of my old project file and it also working fine. So there is any idea to reset the material editor only as a check, or any idea to recover my project from this issue and check. Because the modeling in almost finished and there is only need to apply the materials, so that i wish to get back the file instead of doing it all again. Please suggest any idea.

Thanks in advance

Look at your backups. Copy, rename, and reopen. Some may work, some may not. The trick will be to find the file that works with the minimum loss of data.

Thank you for your replay,.

Actually i already did this all, but not working. I wonder why material editing only cause this issue, any other editing or adding has no problem.?
