Revit 2017 Sample Project Files won't open in my 2017 student revit reversion

Gives a message "The file rme_ basic_ sample_project.rvt was saved in a later version of Revit and cannot be retrieved in this version. Is this there any solution or update.

no, the file could be accidentally saved in higher version that's the reason why you cannot open into lower version. in revit no backwards compatibility. thanks
