Revit 2017 - random double click is driving users crazy

We have 20 seats of Revit 2017 architecture, and the users are reporting that when they single click on an object, revit will assume that it is a double click and kick them into the family, boundary etc, which causes quite the headache when windows are tiled.

This is occurring on a myriad of mice, from microsoft to mad catz.

We have adjusted the double click speed in windows 10 to the lowest possible setting.

This only occurs in Revit.

Instead of making the double click speed of the mice slower, have the users go to Options > User interface > Double click options > Customize > Family > Do nothing.
