Revit 2017 Handrail & Guardrail RFA's

Hello,

I'm fairly new building to stairs and hand/guard rails in a Revit model that has multiple levels at varying heights. One of our designers built the stairs with hand & guardrails and there are many discrepancies including the following:

- I cannot edit the rails themselves in the "Edit Path" to connect/curve into the wall, they simply die out at a sharp edge.

-The rails are not making the turn and are unconnected at the landing transition going up & down.

-I attempt to offset the rail to connect the brackets to the rail but their remains to be a slight gap between the rail and the mounting brackets.

I have attached photo's of these issues as an example.

I would consider this an advanced task that I am going to practice in a separate model with a new handrail family and attempt to redo the stairs IF NEEDED but I would like to know if there is anyone out there that has any suggestions to a solution for this. The designers in my office(including myself) are novices when it comes to making the perfect stair model so any expert out there is greatly appreciated! Don't forget to view the attachments... thanks!

Handrail & Guardrail...& Supports.  The properties you want to play with, are those associated with the SUPPORTS.   Drill down into the Handrail properties to find Support Properties, including Layout, Spacing, Justification and Number.  Additionally, Supports can be "grabbed" and moved by Tab-Selecting them.

As far as for custom editing the Top Rail's and/or Hand Rails' path or joinsthis can also  be done directly by Tab Selecting the Rail and clicking on Edit Path.  Also, like Supports, each have properties, such as Transitions and Extensions, associated with them.

...regarding the return or wrap you are trying to get your railing to do (as shown in RFT2); sometimes the condition needs to be custom modeled -- as a baluster/post for instance.  Here's a technique we use on such occasions:
