Revit 2017 file to 2016

Hello,

So I'm working on a project at school and I like to work on it at home sometimes. At school they have Revit 2016 installed. But at home for some reason I can't get Revit 2016 to work. Only 2017. Doesn't bother me. But I'm worried that once I open my 2016 Project in 2017 obviously it will upgrade it to 2017, not a problem. But once I save my changes in 2017, and go to school the next day...will my project open and run okay in 2016? Can it downgrade a project the same way it upgrades it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you.
