My Revit 2017 crashes constantly. It happens mostly in 3d views. The project is 240Megs; I have 32 Gigs of RAM and an Nvidia, Quadro 600, Card. I'm not having trouble in any other version of Revit. Is this a known issue? If so what is the fix?
Thanks
Nardo

Hi,
Thank you for taking your time to post this in the forum,
I notices you mentioning it affects a single project, have you tried running the workflow in a new project?
If it doesn't affect other projects I would assume it's a file specific issue or perhaps also just a graphic card problem.
I would recommend you start by checking the Revit version and if you're behind on updates it would be good to catch up with.
Then if the issue persists, update graphic drivers through NVIDIAs homepage.
If you're still experiencing it, I would suggest I have a look at the file as it may have some conflicts that makes your client to crash.
Thanks again,

This is the first project that we are doing in Revit 2017. That is why it is only one project. I think it may be a problem with the new section box tool. I notice it crashes more in the section box mode than any other time. It also crashes when I work fast. like it cannot keep up. I wonder if it is a problem in the new feature that is supposed to let you continue to move around during 'redraw'.

Hi Nardo,
Thank you for getting back to me,
One of the things I always test first is how it runs on other machines and I always test things on different environments.
That will help narrow in the cause and potentially lead you to solving the issue.
I would personally go through these steps and particularly the addins part.
Go through the steps below one at a time:
|
NOTE: Testing after each step is recommended to narrow in the cause and it's recommended you turn the anti-virus program back on afterwards.
|
If you at any point feel it's no much to take on yourself I would be more than happy to do it for you, however I will need you to confirm with me first, then I'll contact you directly afterwards.
Best Regards
