Hello,
Im working with Revit 2017 and 2016. Im working on a really huge project and Im currently making the curtain walls for this project. When ever I try to align a curtain wall to a reference line or anything in general, the revit will crash.
This happens both in 2016 and 2017. The project it self is a large file and at the same time my curtain wall is very detailed, I've tried it out on a new project with noting in it and it still crashes. I have a super fast computer with great motherboard and graphics so im not too sure why this is happening.
Someone help ? ![]()
FYI thats the only thing that makes the program crash, i am able to work to it's full capacity EXCEPT aligning the window wall.
Thanks,
Enes
Hi,
Try this and let me know if it works -
Turn the curtain wall's glass panel into a door, reverse the swing, and turn it back into a glass panel.
Reason for the crash: heavy detailed curtain walls have a backward glitch which can be reversed.

@Anonymous_CD Is this something that only occurs in R2017? I've been a Revit curtain wall detailer for almost 8 years now and have never heard of such a thing. But, I haven't done a project in R2017 yet so maybe that's the issue??
Did you try aligning the wall after the revert process?

Here's another thread from OP with the same question. I have already demonstrated via a screencast that if I align the curtain wall using its reference plane, instead of using a sub-component geometry, it did not crash. Works every time.
