Hi all,
Have finally managed t download / install revit 2017 today after hours of trying and trying, only to find out content libraries is missing, again.
I had this issue on my previous computer and cannot seem to find the solution after looking through forums and posts.
After rerunning the web installer, I am shown the content libraries as installed as below.
However, when launching revit, the following prompt comes up telling me that the content library is missing.
If anyone has experienced the same issue and has the solution, could you please give me a detailed rundown on how to go about fixing this.
After spending an entire day trying to resolve this issue, I am beginning to think this program will be giving me more trouble than anything else for upcoming uni work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Mitch.

Hi @mpeperkamp,
Thanks for looking to help.
I have followed the link you provided which led me to this link https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles... the install wizard did not launch when I uninstalled the content libraries?
Is there any way I can download the install wizard and manually launch it?
Once again, appreciate your help.
Regards,
Mitch
Hi @Anonymous,
1) UNINSTALL THE AUTODESK 2017 MATERIAL LIBRARY
I know the material library is not installed, but some contents of it are registered in the program files. The best way to full uninstall such contents is by:
Open the Autodesk Uninstall Tool: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Uninstall Tool\R1\UninstallTool.exe
Then uninstall all Autodesk Material Library 2017
2) ACCESS THE AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL FREE SOFTWARE
One major thing that I realised is that, installing directly (Install now) from the website installed successfully Autodesk Revit but not the library, instead, ensure you choose the option of DOWNLOAD NOW. This will use the Autodesk download manager, with this, all content of the installation will be downloaded. After the installation is completed, then open and install, the material library will be successfully installed
NB: Do not download using BROWSER DOWNLOAD option, this will not download all the installation files.
