Revit 2017: An unrecoverable error has occurred...

Revit 2017 error.JPG

This error shows up everytime I exit the program. Please let me know how to resolve this. I have installed all the updates and extensions so I don't think that is the problem.

Thanks!

Maybe your file is corrupted. When you open the program, try to load your file by the Open button and click on "Audit". A message will appear, select "yes". See if it solve your problem.

Hey Rafael,

I'm pretty sure it's not the file because it happens even when I just open the sample file and close the program.

another thing to try is to turn off hardware acceleration in revit

Big R>Options>Graphics

We have had this error as well.  Most of the time I resolved it by installing service pack 2, however I have 1 machine that this did not work on.

In our case, the model is being edited by 8 users and the error only occurs when one of the users exits the model.  Also the error occurs on every exit from every model she edits, so it is a machine specific error.

Thank you for your post.  In this case, I am sorry to read of this experienced behavior.  We have had many reports of this that can be linked to the recent anniversary update (1607) from Microsoft in Windows 10.  Our development team is actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible to address these issues introduced with the latest anniversary update.  At this time, the only work around currently is to roll this update back from the 1607.  This will then allow you to repair Revit from the control panel, and then restart to resolve this instance.  Please note you may be prompted to update to this anniversary update again, so please toggle this off.  I hope this helps.

The anniversary update for Windows 10 (1607 build)

  1. Roll back the recent windows 10 anniversary update (1607)
  2. Not allow this to adhere back to the system.
  3. Repair Revit
  4. Restart Window
