revit 2017 3d view incomplete walls

Can somebody help me? i am new with revit and while working on my project, i am having a problem in 3d view where the walls are going invisible, but when i rotate the view, the original wall is visible but others go invisible.but in render, the walls are complete. i have attached screenshot and file for reference..

Interesting. I've never seen this issue before. I want to follow this thread.

I was successful by cutting and pasting one of the walls back to its original location to correct its representation in the view -- but this didn't work for both walls. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the fact that you removed the  reference for the walls ("Faces defining this Element cannot be reacquired"). I typically don't remove them from the project, for the fact that you need them to Update to Face.

Edit: remove the door insert and, voila: surface returns to normal. Strange.

thanks for the reply..i think i found the problem.. when i delete the doors on ground floor, the walls are visible like it should... but i want to know what is causing this problem...because i need to provide the doors...try it for yourself if you may..

I stand corrected. I didn't notice that you had them (Masses) hidden. Still the problem seems to be related to your door; remove it and all is well.

Try using a Void Cut in the family instead of an Opening Cut. That would be my next step in troubleshooting.

Edit: That seems to correct issue, but promotes other issues with other instances of this door in the project. Probably best corrected by creating a new door type for cutting this wall by face.

@barthbradley, it’s getting weirder, if you select that offending door (Concept ExtDbl) and change it to a different one, let’s say ExtDbl 2 and back again, the problem disappears and even Update to Face works again - crazy!

@PijPiwo: I guess the newbie broke Revit. Nice job, @Anonymous.

@Anonymous: I noticed a lot of warnings in this project when I had it opened. You might want to inspect them one by one, and see if you can eliminate some or all of them before you get too deep into the project. You don't necessarily need to resolve them all, but I would advise you to get in the habit of monitoring and managing warnings as you go along. As the warnings build, they are often built on other warnings -- making some of them literally impossible to isolate and fix down the road.

Today I had a chance to look at you model and the door family was definitely the culprit.  Here are what I did to the family:

- Deleted the opening (drawn on the interior side) and re-created a new one on the exterior side.

- Re-constrained a bunch of components (before that they broke when I flexed the thickness of the host wall)

That seems to fix it.  See the attached file.
