Revit 2017, 2019 crashes when using extended monitor, external monitor mode

Hi all,

This is a recent development. Revit 2017.2 and 2019.2 would crash every time I open a model. The application would launch fine but once any model is opened, regardless it being on a cloud or local, I get the error message "An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window. This window shall be closed." Then the window closes.

If I remove my laptop from it's USB-C dock, it works fine. If keep it in the dock but change the display model to duplicate, it works fine. My current work around is to change it to duplicate, launch Revit, open a file, then change my display back to extended and continue working.

Everything was working as it should two weeks ago. The only thing I can recall that might have affected it is the recent Windows Update and the Nvidia RTX 2070 Max Q update.

I appreciate the help, thanks so much!

Tony
