I have been using Revit 2016 (Student Version) for quite some time on the exact same computer. My laptop is an ASUS and currently runs on Windows 10. Last week, I tried opening Revit 2016 and the initial screen would pop up, but the program itself wouldn't open. I have tried reinstalling the program and repairing the program. I have downloaded Revit 2017, again the student version, but the university I'm at doesn't have the 2017 license; therefore, I cannot print 24" x 36" at school and my laptop doesn't allow me to print anything larger than an 11" x 17", so again, I'm having a lot of issues with Revit in general.
Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?
Can you access directly (using exe)? Can you post an image if the shortcut proprieties...the target?
@Anonymous hello, have you try to repair/reinstall the program and see if helps. thanks
Just wondering.....where are you getting your "student version" at?
You can try this:
If that doesn't work, your profile may have become corrupted and you need to delete your roaming profile...
Shutdown Revit from the task manage first...then
Delete the entire Autodesk Revit 2016 folder:
C:\Users\<your user name here>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2016
Reboot, then restart Revit. Any customizations will be gone FYI...it basically resets Revit to OOTB.
