Revit 2016 on Windows 2016 (bootcamp)

Hi everybody,

I reinstalled Revit 2016 on bootcamp - windows 10.

Before reinstaling I redone the partition and reinstalled the windows 10.

Still Revit does not work properly, the tabs on the lower bar are glittering (pls see screenshut attaced)

What shall I do ? Is there any posibility to make it work? ( I had the same issue when reinstailng revit without

reinstaling windows 10)

Thanks,

Dana

Change screen scaling to 125% or 150% (latter preferable)

Change resolution to the closest available to 2000x ????

I have the exact same problem.

Revit 2016

Windows 10 on Bootcamp (Imac, 32 gigs of ram, Radeon 575 graphics card)

I have tried the scaling suggestions. They work one in ten times.

Please help!

Hi Francois,

Sorry to hear that!

For me, it was a big pain!

The Autodesk support was lousy.

After a lot of searches, somebody sent me some articles, and I found out that Windows 10 and Revit 2016

do not go very well together. They might work and they might not. Besides, at least at that time (about two years ago)

When I experienced the issue, Revit 2016 wouldn't work if uninstalled and then reinstalled on Windows 10. And it seems the problem is more often encountered on Bootcamp on mac.

I ended up buying a laptop and installing Revit 2018 which does not have this issue.

I assume if you update the Revit version you might be able to solve the problem.

Hi @Anonymous and @Anonymous

1. The first step would be to check for updates from your Autodesk Desktop app.

I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App

Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page:

Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements

2. The second step would be to check your compatibility (system requirements and graphics hardware)

Please see the system requirements and recommendations for the Revit product line. A list of certified cards can be found on the Autodesk Certified Hardware page.

3. Check your Display Scaling in Windows 10

4. Update graphics driver to the latest version from the manufacturer's website - Boot Camp resolution problems fixed with graphics driver reinstallation.

Let me know if this helps resolve your issue.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question. Likes welcome!

Regards,
