Hi,
Yesterday I got prompted with te Windows 10 Fall Creators update and it installed itself last night. As of this morning I experience a lot of crashes using Revit 2016. Revit seems to crash at random (when linking dwg's, selecting objects, zooming in/out) in different project. This afternoon I rolled back the update and now Revit 2016 is working flawless again. I have blocked the creators update from installing in order to prevent further problems.
Anyone else having this problem to?
regards,
Raymond

Revit 2016 and earlier versions have not been fully tested in working with Windows 10, see THIS post. The results have been mixed. Some users updated to windows 10 without problems, others did not get it to work. Possibly similar results with the latest windows 10 updates.
You also might have a look in the Installation & Licensing forum, maybe better place for this kind of question.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Hi,
I think the problem is not only with the Fall Update but it is a combination between Windows 10 Fall Update and the Splashtop Xdisplay driver. The fall update seems to have increased the number of crashes. I have rolled back the fall update and uninstalled the splashtop driver and now the crashes have gone.

Raymond
Good that you found a solution and reported back

It seems like it is the other way around. ![]()
I have Revit 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 installed and 2015 is the only version that start after the 'Windows 10 Fall Creators Update'
It also looks like it is something in the startup proses. When starting Revit immediately after Windows start will not case the Error message and Revit starts properly.
