Revit 2014 Installation Problem - Restart of Operation System Pending

I have a problem with all my Autodesk programs.

I was facing a problem with my Revit material library and I wanted to re-install Revit. During the un-installation I got an error and after that I cannot install any Autodesk programs. I tried other programs and were installed properly, but all Autodesk programs giving a warning saying:

"A restart of the operating system is currently pending. You must restart the system before continuing installation" Which of course is not working as I restarted my operating system about 10 times already. Any ideas how to fix it?

I tried the method of deleting the registry key "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session" but still getting the same message. I have also completed the un-installation of Revit by using a 3d party uninstaller which deleted the program's registry files too. I have also removed the whole "Autodesk" folders from ProgramData and AppData folders to test if it will fix it but that didn't work either.

I'm running out of solutions and out of time as I have to finish a project within the next day, so any help would be very very much appreciated.

Thanks in advacnce.

You're going to have to dig into the registry a little further, because you appear to have missed some of the keys.  It's going to be a huge hassle.  Do you have any IT support who could help walk you through it?

Also, what kind of material problem were you having that would have necessitated a full uninstall/reinstall?  For future reference, a Repair will fix most problems like this.

I thought so. I searched the registry extensively but I couldn't find the keys that causing it.

The problem I had with the materials was that the surface and cut patterns options were missing from the materials dialogue box. Probably was due to deletion of the materials library.

I tried the repair option but it didn't work, actually that was when first the process crashed and after that I couldn't uninstall the program.

Have you done Back & Recovery, if yes go ahead & recover with that.

That will probably not take much of your time. If you had not done Back & Recovery in past then you don't have anyother option but to format your machine.
