I've had to rebuild my computer after a hard drive failure.
The main model I have been working on hangs after it is loaded. I can edit Revit Family files and save them.
After I open the main model file, I can select items on the last drawing page that comes up but moving the cursor off to the Project Browser seems to trigger some process that never completes. The circle cursor is displayed and windows reports that the application is Not Responding.
I've made some minor modification to my login name, so the problem may be equivalent to having shifted the model to a different computer. I'm running Windows 10 Pro with the files stored in OneDrive.
I've attached a journal file.
it could be the reason Revit 2014 is running on these Window OS = Windows 8 64-bit Enterprise or Professional edition, or Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise, Ultimate, Professional, or Home Premium edition thats why it hangs? thanks
I am running Windows 10 Pro and was also running Windows 10 Pro before the drive crash and rebuild.
I am a Software Developer not an Architect. This project is me building a 3D model to validate our architects and engineers 2D plans for our house and also to experiment with interior design options.
I have now loaded the model successfully in Revit LT 2021 but would still like to be able to use Revit LT 2014 to edit it. I have a perpertual license for Revit 2014 and am not an architect generating revenue from doing design work. So it seems paying for the latest software every month is a harsh on top of the big fee I paid for the original software.
Are there any Revit developers reading the forum that could point me in the direction of what might be causing the problem?
