Reveal in Wall

Hello. I am trying to create a new reveal in a wall but for an unkwon reason I cannot place that reveal in a wall.

I have recorded a screencast. Help appreciated.

change to elevation of the wall you want it added to and try it again. Ideally all reveals should be done in elevation...or in 3D works too. let me know if that helps.

the view you see on the screencast is from an elevation. In elevation view doesn't work..

ah! its quite difficult to gather that from the view. Did you try the 3D view? Also if you go to the plan and extend the view depth of the elevation this might help pick the wall up in the elevation.

What is that shaded area?  Try to do it in a 3D view.

Hi!

As I can see, the section you are working on, is inside the wall (because the wall is colored). If it's so, you need just a little bit move the section. The section line must be not far inside the wall, less than the thickness of you reveal.
