Retain user input after snapping dimension to new location

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a fix for this yet... where you've added a Prefix, Suffix or Below value (such as "MIN", or "TYP.", etc) or when you've overridden the numeric dimension value entirely with instructions like "REMOVE THIS PORTION", etc but then you adjust the where the dimension snaps to and it deletes all of that information. Why does it do that?  Is there any way to prevent that info from being erased?

This is standard behaviour, if you adjust the grips that define the dimension to read a new element the overrides in the dimension text (replace, prefix or suffix) will be removed.
