I've been working on a multi-story stair case and I had to delete the stairs and start over. When I tag the stairs with the tread number tag, it carries on the numbering from the previous numbering. So in my case the number begins at 21, rather than 1. Is there any way to reset the numbering? I am using Revit 2018.
I've attached an image of the section of the staircase highlighting it and the ground floor plan indicating the tread numbers.
Thanks

Strange, because it clearly said start numer 1, but desired riser count 20 but actual riser count 40? So you've drawn a stairs that goes from ground floor to 1st floor with the properties, but you've extended it to go to the 2nd floor.
Maybe you've drawn them and deleted the bottom 20 stairs, then moved the rest to the desired height in the model?
A workaround in this case could be to set your starting to -20, so the drawn risers start with 1.
Thanks a lot, renaming the tread / riser starting worked. I had made a mess of drawing the stairs earlier as using the multistory stairs select levels tool the handrails didn't wrap round completely.
