Reset 3D View

Good afternoon Revit users

I'm trying to reset the 3D View of my project, when I close out me design, the 3D view is far way. Then I have to zoom in to locate or bring it toward me. It just recently started happening.

How can I make the project hold at the position it is when I save to close out the project?

This is really affecting the Enscape as well the design is far away.

Thanks any assistance is appreciated.

Hey Brian, are you referring to a camera you have placed in your model or a normal 3D view?

If its the 3D view and you right click and Zoom to Fit, does the model remain easily visible or zoom out immensely? If it zooms out heaps, have you tried deleting your default view (3D View: {3D - *YourAutodeskUsername*} and then selecting the 3D view button on your quick access toolbar along the top to create a new view to try and expose potential floating elements (you also have to make sure all worksets are set to visible if workshared). Note this only works well if you have no view template applied to your 3D views by default.

Another method could be to section box the view tightly?

Or even maybe lock the 3D view with the toolbar icon along the bottom.

Hope this helps, or at least thins out the options haha.

You may have linked or imported a CAD file with very large extent recently.  If you can clean up the CAD file then do it. If not, then create a scope box to limit the extent o the 3d view.

Thanks I will try both options.
