Does anyone know a trick for this?

I have some roof lights I'd like to show dashed in the plan.

I could just trace them in the actual roof plan and cut/paste them into the 'current' view in the top floor plan.

But, of course this is more work and you lose the dynamic link.

The dash line with invisible line works if your roof is flat. However if you have sloped condition, this will be tricky. One way I've done is to add solid dash extrusion with angle to adjust the dash line when placed in the slope roof. See attached
