I've recently taken the quantum jump from Revit 2015 to 2022. As a small building design operation I was pumping out my job with no problems so the old 'if it aint broke dont fix it'. I recently updated my computer and software so threw the latest and greatest version on. I do very little rendering but was happy with the results basically straight from the box with the early version....not so now. Actually bitterly unhappy and I've had no real answer from above when the question was asked other than you have a new render engine. Has anyone encountered the same problem and found a way around it or is this something you need to buy your way out of? ie additional libraries of rendering programs? Beers
Going from Revit 2015 to 2022 is a huge jump especially if you doing rendering. In 2019, Revit added PBR material. 2021, they removed the raytracing and introduce new rendering engine. Also if you used to older look, it will take time before you get used to the new rendering engine. Here is the screenshot comparison between the old and new engine. Both are set to realistic view. You will notice how the RPC content looks different and shadow is more subtle in 2022 compare to the sharp edge of older version. I don't mind the new look at all.
Not quite the result I'm getting. That's acceptable. This is where I'm at.
